About Us
The Vineyard Church, Richmond is an independent Evangelical Church. We believe in the bible as the word of God and that God's great love for us has been demonstarted through His son Jesus Christ, and His death on a cross.
This is God's grace, undeserved and unearned, given so that we may enter a saving relationship with Him through repentance and faith in Christ alone. This is the 'gospel', which means 'good news'!
For more information on what it means to be a Christian please request a free 'Why Jesus?' booklet (by post), or visit www.reJesus.co.uk
The Vineyard Church is a member of the Congregational Federation and the Evangelical Alliance. We are also linked to the Ichthus Christian Fellowship and have friendships with the local evangelical churches of Richmond.

The church has a custodian trusteeship but is otherwise run by the local members and their appointed leaders and trustees.
Currently the leadership team is Bob & Enid Kimmerling and Peter Flower, with Bob Kimmerling as full-time minister.
Sunday Services:
Our service is at 10.30 am, followed at around midday by a time to chat over coffee, and occasionally a shared lunch.
Our gatherings are informal and fun and vary each week as we feel directed by God. They usually incorporate times of singing and bible teaching, as well as communion for believers every two or three w eeks. We also have an all-age 'cafe style' service every 6 weeks when our worship is held around large tables with coffee and pastries.
Children and young people participate for arround half an hour before joining their own groups, except for shorter services once a month when all ages stay together.
There are also frequent contributions from the congregation, such as spontaneous prayer, scripture reading and personal stories of God's love, healing and encouragement.
We are very tolerant of small children who do not need to be too constrained!
Our purpose:
Our purpose is to reach and teach, care and share as we worship the Lord.
We seek to reach the local community with the love of God, teach so that each Christian may become mature in God, care for one-another through serving, and share in membership of God's famly, and in all to worship the Lord.
Church history:
Since its founding in 1831, and rebuilding after the great fire of Richmond in 1851, the church has had an interesting and unusual history. These include associations with two prime ministers: Harold wilson and Tony Blair, and the painter Vincent Van Gogh.
