I have loved fishing ever since I sat on my mother's lap trying to catch stickleback with a bent-pin hook, a cork and a pice of cotton. It wasn't successful, and I had no thought then that the net which Jesus spoke of to his disciples whe he said: 'I will teach you to be fishers of men,' would years later be cast for me...... more..........
'Childhood candlelight & carols.'
Does Christmas bring back happy childhood memories for you? It does for me – carols, candlelight, waking up on Christmas morning to open my stocking. Church- going played a part in my childhood but it was like lots of other things such as passing exams, or taking my driving test – it was something I did, but it didn’t mean anything much.....more....

These were the words that resounded over and over in my mind as I sat at the back of the Vineyard Church listening to the preacher preach about a woman with a bleeding problem.

Before I was a Christian, I occasionally went to church but it did not really mean anything to me.
I was working as a physiotherapist and spent my earnings on clothes, holidays and having a good time. I was a bit frightened of God and had tried Pathfinders as a teenager, when going to church in London where I lived and even a bible study but I felt an outsider and stopped going......... more......
